Review by nh on 09.07.2002 Traditional Indian and Pakistani cuisine Right next to the fire station in Allston is one of the best Pakistani restaurants in town. Serving traditional Indian food as well as Pakistani specialties, the service is always friendly at Cafe Habibi. Run by two men, one from Pakistan and the other from Nepal, someone always has a friendly joke for the customer. The food is tasty and reasonably priced: nothing is more than $10, and most entrees are between $7 and $10. Make sure to try some of the most scrumptious pakora I've ever tasted! Located in Union Square, Allston, the intersection of Brighton Avenue, Cambridge Street, and North Beacon. Parking may be difficult to find along Brighton Avenue on a Friday night, but the food and company make it well worth the effort. The #57, #66, #64 and #501 MBTA buses all stop right out the front door.
